
Lynette Mills (née Sampson) was formerly a part of the regional coordinating team and an Assistant Lecturer in the Caribbean Civilisation course in the Faculty of Humanities at The University of the West Indies (The UWI) (2016 – 2023).
Her background includes 15 years of media practice and teaching in undergraduate media and communication studies. She holds B.A. in Media and Communication from The UWI, Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Studies from Sheffield University, UK and MPhil History from University of the West Indies.
Her research interests include Pan Africanism, Black media history (Black press in particular), African and African diaspora studies and documentary film as a vehicle for public history, teaching and learning.
